They write:
"The Exeter Women’s Network was started by a small group of women who recognise the value of mutual support and friendship between women.
Our aim is to break isolation and empower women who may have become socially isolated, emotionally distressed or low in confidence.
We provide the support of a part-time facilitator to help develop social events and activities chosen by and for the women taking part in the network.
The Women’s Network promotes an ethos of tolerance and acceptance. We recognise the courage it takes to get out and meet people and are supportive of those feeling vulnerable or insecure.
The Women’s Network is not associated with any specific ethnic or religious community and welcomes diversity. We are a project funded by Mind in Exeter and East Devon?."
Activities
Finding accessible venues is something we look at with each activity we plan. Our office is accessible on the ground floor, with an accessible toilet.
It’s free to attend the network and to join women need to come to a Welcome Gathering or our upcoming Open Day."
