The Wild Things Project - Exeter
The Wild Things Project

Website: www.wildthings-community.org.uk
This has been running very successfully out of Russell Clinic at Wonford House hospital in Exeter, Devon since 2001. It gives people staying there the opportunity to get out and about across Devon and to participate in a wide variety of outward bound activities.
These activities include environmental arts, music, storytelling, bush craft, complimentary therapies, martial arts, animal encounters, llama walking, climbing, caving, sailing and quad biking, all in wild and beautiful locations.
Up until recently, after leaving Russell Clinic the opportunity for people to continue these activities stopped and the success achieved at the clinic could not always be maintained.
The good news is that funding has now been allocated to ‘Wild Things In The Community’ and a ‘Wild Things directory’ is now available. People are now able to access resources independently, enabling them to continue with activities that they value.
