Peer Support Guidelines

The Scottish Recovery Network has released its

'Guidelines on Developing Peer Support'.

As SRN probably has the most experience of implementing paid peer support of any UK agency, these guidelines offer well thought out and seasoned guidance on developing peer support workers in the UK / NHS context.

SRN has also sent out an email entitled 'Celebrating and developing peer support in Scotland', which can be viewed here.

It includes a link to a very helpful and realistic article by Heidi Tweedie on
'Embracing the challenge of developing the peer support worker role'
and also a description by Sharon Gilfoyle of the project on
