Video on Peer Support Services

There is much talk, thought and discussion about the possibility of peer support. And many terms and phrases used in this area from peer support workers to peer provided services. The future of recovery-focused services does seem to both imply and maybe hinge upon a revision of the mental health workforce to value the peer contribution and there is much to learn.

 The National Mental Health Development Unit have published a video of the New Zealand peer service development lead being interviewed by the NMHDU Director Ian McPherson which offers a very accessible tutorial and orientation to this area and much digested wisdom derived from people putting these principles into practice.
