PROVIDER VACANCY – SILVERTON, EXETER

This is a female provider who lives in a quiet cul-de-sac location in this rural village on the outskirts of Exeter. She mainly lives alone, although her daughter (19yrs) is travelling but will be home after the summer.

The house is terraced in a quiet cul-de-sac which comprises of a lounge and kitchen downstairs and 3 bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs. There is a large garden to the rear of this property. This provider is an animal lover. She has two dogs and enjoys walking them daily, a rabbit that lives in the garden and adopted animals of which she occasionally looks after for others (mainly dogs).

This provider has extensive experience of working with adults with challenging behaviours and mental health needs. She would like to support a younger female (preferably, although will consider male) who is seeking a guidance and support in their daily life. She is a passionate and dedicated lady and is looking forward to giving someone the opportunity to join in with family life. This is a smoking household. Not suitable for someone with limited mobility because of stairs to bedrooms.

There are many activities and amenities in Silverton and the village is within commuting distance of Exeter and Tiverton. The village retains its own post office, and two further general shops, a gift shop and butchers. There are three pubs all serving food, a church, a doctor’s surgery and a playing field. There are many social activities within the village and the neighbouring city of Exeter (20 mins drive) and town of Tiverton. This is a vacancy for one service user only.

If you are interested in finding out some more about this placement, or have a service user in mind who may fit in well, contact Joanna at the SWAPS office: 01626 360170.
